Join the Defender family

 To be eligible to participate as a player you must be full-time status from the list below:

• Law Enforcement Officer
• Firefighter
• Detention Officer (TCOLE Certified)
• EMT
• Active Duty Military (Military Police or Firefighter as primary job)
• Unfortunately Military Reserve, National Guard, Reserve Police Officers & Volunteer Firefighters are not eligible.

If you are interested in playing complete the NPSFL Player Bio and NPSFL Waiver Form and bring them to practice.  All players must complete both forms and submit a copy of an agency photo ID card to confirm eligibility.  Forms can also be emailed to dallasdefenders@yahoo.com or  dallasdefenderstreasurer@gmail.com . 

Interested players ate encouraged to attend a practice ASAP in order to observe and speak to players and coaches.  Players may try out for any position, however, the coaching staff will determine final positions in order to help the team.  Players are evaluated during practices and games to determine a depth chart.

Once all player dues are received players receive the following to keep: 

• Home Game Jersey
• Helmet Decals  

New players are also issued the following to be returned at the end of each season:

• Game Pants 
• Away Game Jersey

All Players are responsible for the following:

• Helmet - white with white face mask
• Shoulder pads
• Practice pants (white)
• Any other accessories

 A $50.00 non-refundable player fee must be paid by your first practice.  

Player dues are $300.00 for the season.  A player may obtain a full or partial sponsor or sell raffle tickets to help offset the cost of playing.

All players are responsible for travel expenses, including airfare for away games.
